Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Valente Stone collects through this website, why we collect it, who it goes to and how you can get it back or corrected.

Last updated 29 July 2026

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form on this site. That is your first and last name, your phone number, your email address, the type of buyer you are (homeowner, builder, designer, trade), the stone you are interested in and any message you choose to write. If you sign up for updates we collect your email address for that purpose.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on this site. The only thing stored in your browser is a small flag that remembers you have already dismissed the launch offer, so we do not show it to you twice in the same visit. It contains nothing that identifies you and it is cleared when you close the browser.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry. We ask for a phone number because we answer enquiries with a call back rather than a form letter. We use your details to talk to you about your project, quote on stone, and hold slabs against a job.

If you have separately signed up for updates, we use your email address to tell you about new arrivals and offers. Sending an enquiry does not sign you up for that. Every update we send carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

How it is held

Enquiries arrive as email in the Valente Stone business inbox and are handled by the people who work here. There is no public login, no customer account and no database of enquiries on this website. Access to the inbox is limited to staff who need it.

Who it goes to, including overseas

We use Resend, an email delivery provider, to send the enquiry notification to us and the confirmation to you. Resend is based in the United States and stores email content, delivery logs and related records there, so your name, email address, phone number and message are disclosed to a recipient in the United States as part of sending that mail. Resend is bound by its own data processing terms.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not disclose it to anyone else unless you ask us to, or we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to the relationship, and for as long as we are required to keep business records. If you ask us to delete your details and we are not required to keep them, we will.

Getting access, or correcting something

Write to info@valentestone.com.au and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you, and correct anything that is wrong. There is no charge for this. If we cannot give you access for some reason, we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email info@valentestone.com.au with the detail and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles personal information, for example by adding analytics or a newsletter provider, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
